The Kooky Weddings Best International Wedding of the Year award goes to…….Mr & Mrs Cliffe!

Chateau St. Seurin de Clerbise; the incredible venue for the big day located in Pons just outside Bordeaux in France, with its stunning grounds, swimming pools, long lawns, and gorgeous out-buildings (to accommodate family and guests),  just oozed French charm.

Hannah & Ben had booked the Chateau for the whole week, with various friends and family coming and going created a relaxed hazy ‘end of summer warmth’ and with the anticipation of a glorious day ahead made it all the more heart warming for me to have the honour of capturing their special day.

Hannahs amazing mum took ownership of the kitchen and cooked a huge meal for guests the night before and continued to make batches of food and do runs into the local village stocking up on bread and cheese, needless to say nobody went hungry!  Spending time with both Hannah and Bens families the day before was really valuable to me as a photographer, getting to know them, being shown around made to feel so welcome, which was hugely beneficial and just lovely, I can’t thank them enough.

One of the most amazing things about this venue is that tucked just to the side of the main house and slightly sunken into the grounds there remains a ruined Romanesque chapel which dates well beyond the 1600’s. This was where the ceremony took place and just happened to be the best place for the group shots too.

I had the most incredible few days staying here and highly recommend this venue for a wedding! The light was glorious, the weather was perfect and with beautiful people to photograph too – it really was a feast for my eyes!!
